My nephews are getting bigger by the day. Seriously. I think they go to bed little and get up at least a inch taller. It’s scary. So, for the Holiday, I’m going to get them a) the biggest, most annoying toy possible and b) these shoes by Inchworm, $20. They grow with them! Well at least for one full shoes size. Good enough for me.

I’ve seen these before, but lost the link to where they were. Who wouldn’t want some Kissing Disease or Ebola? Especially when they’re this fuzzy and cute! They’re all about $6 or so. Get them here.

I have Sprint, but I’ve been tempted to change for a long time because a) Sprint never gets the cool phones and b) I’ve never had another carrier and I like trying new things. I’ve been awfully tempted by the myfaves T-Mobile deal, seeing as I have very few people that I talk to on the phone. Sprint is hiking their texting fees to 15 cents, so anyone that isn’t on a text program can get out of their contract without a early termination fee. Check it out.

Nope. It’s ngoc-key.

Anyway, I love the stuff. It’s chewy and particularly tasty when fried. With cherry tomato sauce. I’m not good a recipes, but I’m going to try. Store-bought gnocchi is good, but I’m going to assume if you can find it fresh, that it’s better.

Fried Gnocchi

Olive Oil, yup. that’s it. Fry them until they’re slightly crispy and brown on the outside.

Cherry Tomato Sauce

A good amount of cherry tomatoes, sliced in half.

oregano

curry paste (I used red curry paste)

Red pepper flakes

a tiny bit of milk.

Saute the tomatoes with the oregano. Add in maybe a teaspoon of curry paste and then flakes, until it becomes a sauce. take off the heat and slowly add milk in, just enough so it looks like a cream sauce. Pour sauce over fried gnocchi.

Yum.

I rarely buy CDs. Mostly because I think they’re overpriced. So I stick to the Internet for my tunes, but there’s one CD of recent that I did buy, Ray Lamontagne’s Til the Sun Turns Black ($19). I adored his first album, Trouble and this new one is even better.
