Happy Thaanksgiving all.
This year, my parens are rambling around in Greece, so it’s not a big family ordeal, but that’s OK. For the past few years, I’ve made Thanksgiving dinner for just my brother and I. This year, however, I’ve decided to forgo the turkey and just make roast potatoes with halibut and maybe some sweet potatoes. However, for those that are maybe cooking dinner, check out these two recipes from my favorite cooking show, Good Eats with Alton Brown.
Roux is the key to good gravy and you can use it for white gravy as well as brown. Yum.
Sweet potatoes or yams are god baked, candied, or mashed. I prefer mashed.
