Surgi-Wax Assorted Honey Wax Strips for Face, Upper Lip, Chin & Cheek - 1 kit

I hate shaving. I really, really hate it. It’s time-consuming and annoying. I’ve been looking into getting an epilator, which basically is a tweezing machine. They’re about the size of a electric razor and a hefty $70 or so at Target. Until then, I’ve decided to start home waxing. Scary.

I found this stuff at Target/Wal-Mart/your local drugstore that works pretty well. Pre-made strips that you heat up with your hands. No mess. I tried the jar kind and it was WAY too messy. Wax is still hanging out on my legs from that adventure.

It’s about $5 or so for a box, and the box should last you a couple of waxes or so.

On the Web:

The face ones are on Amazon (click on the picture). Drugstore.com has the body kit.

You probably heard any number of news stories about the Kim family, who went through a tragic ordeal in Oregon during Thanksgiving weekend. In addition to James Kim being a CNet editor, the family also ran a home store in San Francisco. A bunch of artists and stores from around the world stepped up and started a auction site, and all the proceeds will go to the family.

Bidding starts January 3. There are previews here.

Gift lists
14. December 2006

12-13 gifts.jpgAmazingly, I’ve finished my holiday shopping. However, I’m sure plenty of people have not. I’m not going to be yet another blog that posts a gift list. So, instead, I’ll post a bunch of them, and you can look at all of them.

Treehugger has green gifts, so you’ll be doing the Earth good.

Chocolate and Zucchini has a list of Kitchen essentials. Even the occasional cook should have all of this stuff.

Shelterrific has gifts for all of the rooms in your house.

Popgadget has the gadgets I only wish I could afford.

Core77 has the best under $77

Well. So the Vitamin C is working out well. I’ve also made an eye oil, which is avocado oil, rosehip seed oil and geranium oil mixed together in a roller. My face seems to enjoy it.

Also, I’ve quit washing my face in the morning. If you wash your pillowcases often, then how dirty could your face really get? So i use a microfiber cloth, one you buy for dusting, which lightly exfoliates. I also enjoy that. over-washing, I assume, can’t be good for you at all.
Next up is making my own cleanser.

Bear with me while i figure it out. For now, the site should be up. Feel free to e-mail if it goes down again. admin (at) allthatanda (dot) com

So, no, I’m not getting married anytime soon, but i spent today watching Gay Weddings, serial documentary that was on Bravo in 2002 (I love Netflix). There were these lesbians that had the most gorgeous dresses (not to mention their whole ceremony was pretty cool), so I decided to take a look at who designed them. Sanni, a designer out of Cali, did them. Take a look
