I’ve been thinking about installing a picture rail or ledge in my apartment. My roommate is a photographer and has a ton of prints and I have a big collection of art, but neither of us are willing to commit to the cost of framing art, which can get real expensive, real fast. So some mats and picture rails seem like a good idea. But should I really spend however much on a pre-made rail?
Or should I make one, not out of the typical moulding you see on home design shows, but some angle iron?
