Peggi Li might already be famous. I mean, she has been on Grey’s Anatomy, Without a Trace and Buffy. Well, her jewelry that is.
But she is still affordable for the masses (that’s you and me).
Amethyst necklace
The necklace to the above and left is simple and gorgeous to me. Amethyst is my birthstone and it is really hard to find a stone that is a dark and vibrant. The stone is 1/2″ wide and suspended between the links of the chain. It comes in 16″ and 18″ long. ($59)textured links of gold-fill or sterling chain, your choice.
About the designer
Like many other designers I’ve featured, Li did not start as a jewelry designer. She was a chemical engineering major at Berkeley. But Telegraph Avenue lead her inspiration to where she is today.
Leftovers bracelet
All those nights where you just pull together whatever is in the fridge must be where Li got the idea for this bracelet.
She basically pulls whatever stones and beads she has laying around and makes a beautiful bracelet on a gold-filled chain. I like how it ends up — hodge podge, but in a classy way. It comes in 7″ of 8″ legnths. ($80
