I’ve gotten a load of memberships to a few online sample sale sites, which are totally addicting and the new thing in the web world.
Register with these sites and use my e-mail (admin @ allthatanda [dot] com) as your referrer to save a buncha money.
What is it: HauteLook has a wonderful selection of designers and the sales last for a couple of days max. They say they’ll notify you of every sale when it starts, but I’ve yet to get one of those e-mails.
Recent and upcoming sales: kale, alice+olivia, jovovich-hawk
What is it: Regent’s Secret, I think, is more UK-based, with more designers that I’ve not heard of. Sales here last longer, more like a week. They also sometimes update their sales with more stock, if you’re lucky. One note: they also sell menswear, one thing I’ve not noticed the other sites doing.
Recent and upcoming sales: monarchy, hudson, ed hardy
What is it: Gilt is in New York, I believe. Each sale lasts 36 hours, but usually things go much, much quicker. Often I’ll try and log in 8 or so hours after a sale starts, and everything is gone, just like a real sample sale. To use me as your referrer on this site, you’ll have to e-mail me, since they wouldn’t take my at&a address.
