review: y.e.s. skincare

I got a chance to review YES skincare, which I’ve found intriguing because just the name makes me think it’s not “save your skin it’s too late” but it’s more of a “protect your skin now” type of line.
The Claim:
Y.E.S. Young Essential Skincare® products dramatically increases the moisture, elasticity and firmness with our exclusive CP24-Complex®. This proprietary complex works synergistically with active components for optimal results; these exclusive formulas will alleviate even the most frustrating skin concerns working together to enhance the beauty of your skin.
Our unique formulas will protect against free radical damage, the main cause of aging and sagging skin. The combination of Y.E.S. Anti-Aging Serum along with the Y.E.S. Rejuvenating Moisture Cream stimulates collagen synthesis immediately improving the texture, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, leaving your skin feeling silky smooth.
The Verdict:
I used both the serum and the moisturizer from this system for a while. I tried the eyepatches once, but I also got very annoyed with them.
The patches are kinda felt like to start and then you wet them on your eye until they get thinner and thinner until they’re very thin and brown. You let them dry on your eye. First, they were too big for my face. Then they wetting process was difficult and one of mine ended up folded over and I couldn’t fix it without tearing the patch.
The serum was my favorite. It’s a very thin watery liquid in a nice glass bottle. I ended up using less than one full pump every night. It’s nice and cooling (from the aloe vera used in it) and i think it was the right amount of moisturizing.
The moisturizer was way different than I expected. I usually think I’m getting a cream of some sort. This was more of a gel. It’s very thick and very much the consistency of hair gel. It went on pretty thin and sunk right into my skin. It was a welcome relief from heavy creams.
Ingredient-wise, I find few issues with what is included in all the products. This secret CP24-Complex® is suspicious, though. I tend to not believe in ingredients like this, because very rarely are they anything special.
