7-8 hard graft.jpg

Not sure when this happened, but Working Class Heroes has apparently changed their name to Hard Graft.

They still make obscenely beautiful laptop and gadget sleeves and bags, but they have a pretty new site to go along with their stuff now. It’s perfectly masculine and pretty at the same time, like their products.

Have I mentioned that I would die if someone sent me an unfold bag?

6-23 asos bag.jpg

I’m enjoying all these totally awesome prints out this summer.

This tote over at asos is just bright enough, with a simple but totally fun pattern. It’s big enough to put all your beach goodies in it, plus something to change into for that hot date later.

It’s on sale, too.

£20, down from £25

laptop bag: cheapie from billabong
02. July 2008

7-1 billabong laptop bag.jpg

Oh laptop bags, you make me so happy.

Especially this one, a simple tote by Billabong, with a removable laptop compartment. I hope to do some traveling this summer and this would be perfect to tote some magazines and my trusty Macbook around with.

The front pockets would be good for plane tickets, your wallets and other needed stuff.

$38

I like gigantic bags. Maybe not hte suitcase sized suckers that celebs are carrying around these days, but big totes and such.

This tote by Kit+Lili seems perfect for grabbing a bunch of stuff and heading out for the day. Love the ocean-colored print.

$128

quilted duffel bag
11. March 2008

quilted duffel

Cute overnight bags are short in supply sometimes. They can be bland, black and boring. Lately, though, there have been a lot of nice looking ones popping up.

This bag has a pretty design and is quilted to add a handmade look to it. I love the colors, which are light, but not glaring. There’s pockets inside for stuff, too.

Approx. 16” x 9.5” $80.

looking for: a yoga mat bag
29. February 2008

I finally got up off my butt and am taking yoga classes. So, of course, this is setting me off on a path of looking for stuff for yogis.

First off if a yoga mat bag. I’d wanted one before, but I’d never taken classes, so it wasn’t really necessary. Now it is. Lugging my mat around is no fun. Most yoga mat bags are pretty boring, with a simple tube or a duffel bag type look. Some get fancier and are work bags with straps or messenger bags, but those are out of my price range.

Here are two that I do like, mostly because they multi-task. You know how I love things that multi-task.

obi mat bag

Made by TKUU is fashion defined. It’s a polyester bland fabric and can be made into a head wrap or a belt when it’s not toting around your bag. I think there are two pull ties that let you hold your mat in it. My worry is that it’s too trendy (working out is not a runway) and that it wouldn’t hold anything else. I’d like my bag to at least hold my keys.

I do love print and I could use it if my yoga phase ends.

Green blue only. $40 on sale from $60.

Get it at Wrapables.

multitasker bag

My second option is a little more earthy. The multi-tasker bag is made by Ashima.  There are two little snaps on the ends that convert the bag in to a purse for everyday use. In side are pockets for your keys, ID and such.

I like the pretty boho print (you can get flowers or fish) and the usefulness of this bag. In addition, Ashima makes these bags out of recycled cotton and indigo dyes, which aren’t as harmful as chemical dyes.

Available in sunflowers and fish. $28.50.

So which should it be?

repurpose: a market bag
02. January 2008

stowaway bag

A long, long long time ago, I got an e-mail from Jamie. I was seriously remiss in posting this, but the honest truth is that I’m having some health issues which are impending my posting a little bit. More on that later.

Stowaway  bags are really repurposed. Can’t you tell? They’re wifebeaters. It’s a great idea b/c these little tops are small, strong and well made. I think they’d look cute for the grocery store or even as a throw-it-all-in purse.

They come in three sizes (small, medium and large). ($6)
