Chalkboard wall stickers

518chalk.jpg

Want some chalkboard, but don’t want to commit to the chalkboard paint? Grab these cool chalkboard stick-ons from Wallies. They come in different colors and can be used just about anywhere and are reusable. They would look great above a desk like in the photo above. A pack of four 9″ by 12″ panels is $17.

What would you do with these?

Drying your clothes on a rack

518rack.jpg

As part of my Earth Day Pledge (which I’m blogging about on Shelterrific, with details on All That & A), I’m trying to find ways to green my home without having it look…well, like a hippie paradise.

I’ve been struggling with finding a drying rack. I have a simple one right now from Bed, Bath & Beyond, but it doesn’t really hold all of my laundry now that [...]

Etsy: felt pillow

515pillow.jpg

This pillow has little tiny felt circles on muslin. It’s very Urban Outfitters, but a little better, seeing as it helps a indie artist. The Little Stitch has a whole bunch of stuff going on. stop by her shop and grab this pillow ($18) or any of the other pillows.

Wooden bowl from well-dressed home

515bowl.jpg

This bowl from Well Dressed Home is a natural for the tabletop. Or maybe a bookshelf. It’s not too small at all, like a lot of bowls. It’s almost 6 inches tall. Best yet, it’s on sale for $35.

tick-tock a cuckoo clock

515clock.jpg

I know the cuckoo clock thing might be over, but I still like this one over at Plasticland. ($18).

Ikebana vase

515vase.jpg

The Ikebana vase over at the peabody essex museum is a shallow vase inspired by the Japanese art of Ikebana (flower arrangement). Don’t you have some flowers that would look pretty in there?

skaffs art adhesive

58skaffs.jpg

Honestly, I think I have some issues with art. I like collecting art, but I have severe problems actually framing it. Right now I have at least five pieces of art to frame. It’s just so expensive. Skaffs has a good solution. Not only is the art beautiful, but artists Luke Feldman has a good idea. Why not take the popularity of those wall decals and make art of [...]

Drawer pulls with cork

429pulls.jpg

These pulls from Spectra decor are made with lead-free cast pewter and a cork inlay. I can see them perking up a vintage dresser or an ugly kitchen.

de Maria’s lampshades

51lampshade.jpg

Over at Terramia, these lampshades were featured last week. They don’t really fit my house, but they seem perfect for a house with lots of white or any other artsy-type place. Dutch artists Roos Jooren and Diana Maria of de Maria’s put photos onto fabric to create these shades. The one above has two photos on it. Art doesn’t have to go on walls.
