I am not sure how I feel about smelly jewelry, but I sure did love those fruit scented markers and scratch-n-sniff stickers. So maybe a chocolate glazed donut scented ring would make me happy?

These little guys are made to order and the scent is supposed to stick around for a while. The ring is adjustable.

Check out Pancake Meow, they have a bunch of other sniffy charms and stuff. They sell out super fast, so if you see something you like, I’d get it.

6-5 amulet cuff

I have no idea what the For Love collection is from Forever 21. I honestly can’t keep up with all the “collections” that stores are putting out these days.

But I do want this cuff. I want to wear it wit ha simple black dress, or a flowy tunic, or jeans and a plain tank top.

$12.80

5-28 seat pak organizer.jpg

Although I’m pretty sparse in packing my main bag, I always have way too much in my carryon. It’s those few hours spent on the plane that will slowly drive me crazy. I try to sleep, I try to read, I try to…anything. Except all my stuff is crammed under the seat and I’m strapped in.

Enter the Seat Pak from the travel gurus at Flight 001.

You can put all your essentials in here, and then grab the pak when you’re ready to get off the plane. Nothing forgotten.

In green, blue, orange and grey. $28.

good cause: scarf for charity
22. May 2008

5-20 scarf

You can help children and look hot this summer wit this cute scarf from Secrets of Charm. I was initially drawn to the line because of their pretty summer dresses, but this scarf is perfect for throwing on to complete your outfit.

It benefits the charity Hope Shining, which aids children impacted by violence and abuse.

$18

Plus, you can get 15% off anything else in the Secrets of Charm collection by using code SECRETS through Friday.

look for less: gigantic cocktail ring
05. May 2008

5-4 ring.jpg36D2E1C7-620D-42A4-B450-CEB86FADC384.jpg

See the ring on the right? It’s a David Yurman ring and costs $975. It’s a gorgeous cocktail ring.

See the ring on the left? It’s about $400 cheaper and from Nomination. I actually like the simple lines of thing ring more.

They’re both Blue Topaz and both will probably weight your hand down, but you’ll look awfully good.

I love the totally organic look of these bracelets. They’re from all sorts of places around the world — from Africa to Asia.

I’d stack them up for a boho look.

Anne Poon, a jewelry designer I wrote about a while ago, has a new collection out. It’s very true to her style, simple, asymmetrical and gorgeous.

big cinched belt

4-12 big belt

I know that small, skinny belts are the big deal right now, but I really love this belt. It’s gigantic and perfect for all the flowy dresses that seem to be the norm now.

Pear color. $68.

bright bangles from btc elements
08. April 2008

plastic bag bangles

When I first saw these, I said, “Meh, another bangle made from straw or something by villagers in another country. That’s good, but nothing groundbreaking.”

Uhm, no.

These are plastic bags, people. The ugly, gross plastic bags I am forever trying to stop using. How awesome is that?

The artist, Stephanie Huffaker, collects the plastic from freecycle and family and friends (shame on you plastic bag users! but thanks for helping Stephanie.) She uses vintage bangles for the base. Great idea.

In black, red, pink and orange. $44.
