OK first, these are real ballet slippers. The kind ballerinas wear. On top of that there are studs on them. Awesome, punky-cute studs on pretty pink or black ballerina shoes.

How can you not love that?

They’ve got a little strap, which I’m not a huge fan of, but if thats the biggest issue, I need to have them. And they’re only $48.

Anyone know how sizing for ballet slippers works?

When Birkenstocks became popular in my high school, I scoffed. They were so expensive and….ugly. I was in my goth phase then and much preferred big bulky black boots.

Then today, I read on Fasshonaburu that Phillip Lim recently designed some Birks. Really? And they’re not two-strap ugly things?

Must have.

Chuck Taylors are the ultimate casual shoe. Mine are slip-ons that are perfectly broken in, but not as well loved as the plaid high-tops that I had in high school.

This pair is from the Product (Red) line that benefits AIDS charities. I like the little talk bubbles all over the shoe. ($57)

I have been dying for a pair of Gryson Fold Down Boot in Cerise for just about ever. I spied them in a Marie Claire months ago and have lusted after them ever since. They are perfect. They fold down, I’d never need another pair of boots and they’re positively classic.
