Since I’m in between homes right now (anyone know of an apartment in LA?) I thought I’d give you my secret packing tip.

Since I’ve got enough clothing around, I generally use it to wrap up my dishes, vases and all those other breakable things. When I’m packing up boxes and have random space, sweaters and the like make great fillers and don’t add too much weight.

You pack two things at the same time and save the cost of buying bubble wrap and other things for fragile items.

NowDoThis, an amazing, yet ridiculously simple online to do list.

Mygazines. A possibly illegal site with user scanned magazines, many of them from this month. Clip from the ‘zines posted and make an online trove of all the stuff you love.

wtf: diamond iphone
23. July 2008

7-14 diamond iphone.jpg

This is gorgeous and makes me laugh at the same time.

I want an iphone, I really do, but the cost is too much and the minimum plans are ridiculous.

But if you want the coolest iphone, maybe you should blow £5,000 (that’s like, $10,000!) on this stainless steel and diamond encrusted iphone.

It’ll be great, until the next one comes out and you have to put a second mortgage on your house to get a new diamond iphone…

Get the diamond iphone (but if you do, get me one too, you obviously have money)

So I’ve been looking into getting a printer, but I started thinking about the number of people I know without a printer. Maybe it’s the culture of laptops and working outside the office and home, but everyone heads to their local office supply store or Kinko’s to get stuff printed these days.

So I’m wondering…

Do you have a printer?

keyboard shortcut skins
07. July 2008

6-29 keyboard.jpg

I’m far from a designers or photographer, but I know how annoying it is to forget keyboard shortcuts.

These cool skins allow you to remember the thousands of keyboard shortcuts for different programs like Final Cut Pro, Photoshop and Logic Pro. They’re also color-coded for easier navigation.

Sometimes it pays to be a Mac owner. These are only available for Apple computers, from the Macbook to the Apple Classic Keyboard.

The Real Simple blogs have really gotten my attention lately. They’ve gone and found all the great bloggers in each niche (but not me? How rude.) and Simply Stated was born.

I don’t answer the phone happily most of the time and it appears I should change that habit

want it: flip mino
05. June 2008

The Flip Mino has been all over the internet.

I’ve written about the Flip camera before (although I never got it for Christmas, ahem) but now it’s smaller and shinier, if that’s even possible. You’ve got 2GB of memory and is light as a feather. It’s 40% smaller than it’s older big brother, as well.

Perfect for catching a few quick scenes at the beach or becoming your own Youtube star.
