Smellin’ good.

I have a bit of a thing about perfumes. I think I love them because when I was a little girl, I would play with all of my Mom’s perfume until I smelled like….all of them, at once. My mother is the kind of lady that only bought perfume in the “gift set,” the one with the cheap luggage or ugly purse you’ll never use.

For a long time, I’ve been stuck on Armani perfumes. I own Elle and White. My everyday perfume was D&G Light Blue. I ran out of Light Blue a bit ago, and decided to go on a hunt for something new. I found it at Modern Atelier, an etsy shop ran by Amy. She’s a student who makes perfumes for people around the world. In addition to scent dupes, she also makes her own. I decided to take the plunge and grab her four for $40.

I got Hippodrome, Light Blue, High Tea and 2 Street. 2 Street was for The Boy, but I had to try it on myself as well. I adore all of these scents and the Light Blue is really close to D&G, for a fraction of the price.

In short, screw Armani. I’ve got Modern Atelier.

  1. Aww…thanks! I’m so glad you liked your perfumes. 2 Street and High Tea are two of my all-time faves to wear. And, it just so happens that Armani is basically every essence of myself distilled into a fashion company, so that’s high praise indeed.
