About a month ago, I got tagged.

I just noticed. I’m going to be a nice blogger and not tag anyone else, but it’s a good reason for me to tell you guys more about me.

What were you doing ten years ago?

Well, I was 15, so I was in high school. I was then a very big goth, living in Des Moines, Iowa. I went to a very rich school and although I was a good student, I wasn’t much popular. I think I was working at Barnes and Noble Cafe then. Best job ever.

What are five things on your to-do list today?

Actually, its 9 p.m. right now, so I’ll go with tomorrow.

1. Wait patiently for my new cell phone (I wish it were a iphone, but I don’t have that much cash.
2. Continue to look for jobs. You can read more about my toil at Artichoke Dreams.
3. Pick up my shiny new USB Flash Drive.
4. Go stalk Urban Outfitters for this shirt I saw online, but want to see in person.
5. Read. I’m trying to read a bunch more this summer, as opposed to watching endless amounts of TV.

Snacks you enjoy?

I really like naan and hummus lately. Also, cheese and crackers or cheese and grapes. Spicy Soy Flaxseed Tortilla Chips and salsa from Trader Joe’s. This makes me sound too healthy. I will also eat oven fries and mayo all the time.

Places you’ve lived?

I live on the Central Coast of California right now, but I’m planning a move to another part of California. More on that later. I’ve also lived in Iowa and Kansas City.

What are 5 things you would do if you were a billionaire?

Travel. A lot. Pay off all my debt and most of my friends’ debts. Buy a nice place in San Francisco. Invest in an awesome start-up company. Oh, and get my self a new wardrobe.

People you want to know more about?

I wish I knew more about my kind readers. Also, my parents. Funny how you spend you whole life near someone but never feel you know them.

Yup, wide leg jeans are still in. I like the high waist on these plus the nice wide leg that isn’t like a bell bottom.

Oh yeah, they’re also on super-sale.

$79 from $220

I’m going to get this an fill it with my cheap tinted moisturizer and life will be grand. I hate the ugl bottles of foundations rolling around your travel bag or purse.

I imagine you could probably also fill it with liquid blush maybe?

site I like: design freebies

7-14 free design.jpg

Oh man. I love Summer over at Design is Mine. I always feel very akin to bloggers that are my age and have impeccable taste (like me! just kidding).

She just launched this sideblog to Design is Mine. It’s called Free Design and is full of, well, free design. From great desktop wallpaper to little art projects and stationary, there’s great things already in this blog and I’m sure Summer will find more.

Free Design is a side page of my main weblog Design is Mine. It was created because I suddenly realized that somebody had to weed through all the bad freebies on the internet and find the ones that are inspiring, creative, and generally well designed, and that person should be me.

query: is hypercolor back in?
15. July 2008

7-6 aa hypercolor.jpg

I had a hypercolor tee when I was a kid. I saved up my pennies and got one from Target (I think).

My mom returned it.

Since then I’ve been a little bit bitter, and I’ve wanted a hypercolor tee that no one would return unless I wanted them to. I think American Apparel must be on my page lately because they came out with this hypercolor tee, although they call it thermochromatic.

There’s a few colors and black is coming soon. Fantastic. But would you get it? Or is it too ’80s for you?

$34

Would you wear a hypercolor tee?
