I like Lena Corwin’s collection of vintage craft books. I have a love for old-school cookbooks and etiquette books. I just picked up  “That Girl in your Mirror: Miss America 1965 Talks Sense to Every Girl.”

Love it.

Check the collection out at Bluelines.

22. March 2007

3-20 flor.jpg

I don’t use Flor, but my sister loves them. With two kids and nice hardwood floors, Flor is a good solution. Now you can get select styles of Flor at Target for $60 a box.

I sent some pics of my my bedroom off the someone from Apartment Therapy, and I thought I’d share them with you guys. My bedroom is one of my favorite rooms of my house. It’s calm and reminds me of a balinese hotel room. I tried to spike it with lots of color, and my favorite part, is the walls. It’s Ralph Lauren Metallic silver paint with some ledges and garage sale prints that remind me of my Mom. She had similar ones when we were kids.

Today Apartment Therapy: Chicago features my shower curtain. I adore the simplicity of this waffle-weave curtain, it’s so clean. Bathrooms should be clean.

oh! mop.

2-21 mop.jpg

The home blogging world is talking about method’s new omop, which is supposedly the green alternative to Swiffers. I do love my swiffer, but I often worry about all the little cloths that I’m constantly throwing away. The omop has a microfiber cloth that you can use with or without the mop fluid.

The mop itself looks more ergonomic, with a curved handle to better pressure on the floor.

My question? What do you do with your old Swiffer? Maybe you can use the microfiber pad on the Swiffer?

Blasted sheets!
24. January 2007

Long time ago, I gave up on sheets. I stopped using flat sheets, which don’t really seem to serve a purpose. So I use fitted sheets, a blanket and a down comforter. It’s quite cozy in my bed, but I can never fold up the fitted sheets.

Hurrah! Here comes instructions!
