Some things are just home because of the memories.

I have a end table that I’ve had since I lived in Kansas City and will love forever because of the day I bought it. It was a wonderful day with friends.

Do you have something like that?

It’s not awe-inspiring design, but the way the light hits the simple items on Mr. Biggs’ bathroom window-sill, it’s just pretty.

I was peeking through flickr, trying to find inspiration posts. I’m going to try to do these once a week. Mostly real people’s room from flickr or normal room. Sometimes magazines, cuz you have to dream.

Kelly Sue’s bedroom, which I take it she just had done, is great. There’s a simple coordination that makes it feel like a hotel, and luxe-like.

*correx: Kelly tells me it’s actually the bedroom in the hotel she stayed at. Still gorgeous anyway.

I had some time to hop over to terramia, who sometimes comments on All That & A, and I scrolled down to find this gorgeous idea from Pottery Barn. It’s a simple branch, used to hold memories and photos. It looks like paper clips are used ot hold everything on. Great idea.

Simple Beauty

My favorite thing about tulips, is that they look beautiful all the time, even when they’re close to wilting. Flowers seem to add a simple elegance to your home, and feng shui says it’s good to have a little life in your place.

I bought these from my local farmer’s market, where I also buy my eggs and leeks and pretty much everything else fresh. They do seem to last a bit longer than commercially sold flowers.
