twist together lamp

Modular stuff is pretty awesome by my standards. Anything that I can customize to my wavering tastes is pretty good.

I love the twist together lamp. It’ s a bunch of cubes that you twist together to form whatever shape you want. A wall of lamp? OK. A squiggly-lookin’ thing? Got it.

Each set comes with four blocks and you can keep adding more and more sets on to your needs. ($109)

Get it here.

eco lamps at beklina

In these cute minimal lamps, the wire that brings this little guy electricity is the same wire that’s decorating it so pretty. I love the simple earthy colors and you can knot and loop the wire all you want to change the length of the 5m long cord. ($240)

Get it at beklina.

owl lamp at give simple

I love this little porcelain owl lamp. Owls are kind of over, but I think they’re a cool silhouette and with the crazy animal of the moment rotation in the design world, they’ll be back sooner or later. It’s also pretty small (9 ¾” tall, 6” wide and 8” long) so it’ll fit perfectly into a tiny corner, or in my case, a tiny desk. ($116)

bird lamp from perch

8-24-bird-lamp.jpg

I’ve been working on my little home office, in an effort to stop paying my local coffee shop billions of dollar a week (OK, more like $25 a week in coffee and snacks), but it’s not quite there yet. I have a lamp from a long time ago, and it works, but it’s kind of ugly.

I should be more budget conscious, but I really, really like this lamp from perch. How bright do you think it is? ($140)

Buy it.

This is possibly the most amazing light I’ve seen in a while. I love how it emulates how the stars look when you’re out in the middle of nowhere. ($225)

Luau lamps

These aren’t new by any means, but it’s closing in on BBQ season and I wanted to remind everybody of these. Luau lamps are portable and can be used on their super-discreet charger or not. They’re also LED-lit, so Mother Earth likes them far more than other portable lamps that might use batteries or the like. ($249, from Vessel)

Yellow is the color lately, and this lamp is gorgeous. Do you need another excuse?
