See the ring on the right? It’s a David Yurman ring and costs $975. It’s a gorgeous cocktail ring.

See the ring on the left? It’s about $400 cheaper and from Nomination. I actually like the simple lines of thing ring more.

They’re both Blue Topaz and both will probably weight your hand down, but you’ll look awfully good.

Father’s Day: A beer opener…ring.

6-2 ring opener.jpg

One of my former bosses’ had this ring and I cracked up when I saw it, but then realized the utility of it. How many times have you been caught without a bottle opener? Well, never fear, get one of these and you’ll never be without. You don’t have to wear the opener on top, my boss kept it toward his palm. ($8)

Buy it.

Anne Kiel makes these great rings amongst numerous other pieces of simply beautiful jewelry. I like that all of her work is something you could wear everyday without shame, making it worth the price to me.

A new ring

3-11 ring.jpg

I’ve been on a cooking binge lately and I messed up. Somewhere along the binge, I lost my favorite thumb ring. I’ve had it since high school. It’s a simple ring, but I bought it in Liechtenstein, from a tiny little lady at a tiny little jewelry store. I’ve adored it forever and there’s no replacing it. If i don’t’ find it, I’ll get this ring from Etsy. It’s very close. It’s jsut so sad losing something so important.

The carrot box has an obsession with rings. n her site, you can view her collection of rings, as well as those that she’s making. She’s got wooden rings, glass rings and lucite rings. I enjoy this Zinnea ring. ($18) Unfortunately, only size 7.5 is available right now.
