command central binder

Is your household a mess? Lots of people, lots of homes, have issues with paper management. Schedules, appointments, bills, information. There’s far too much paper. So grab one of my favorite binders ever, tooled by a simplifying expert and fix all of that.

The Command Central Binder makes it easy to organize all the random papers in your house. With magazine pockets, business card holders and a 8-tab divider system, there is no way you won’t get all that figured out quick. I love russell+hazel binders, too because the inside of the binder jacket is a dry erase board, perfect for to-do lists. ($42)

obsessed with: R+H binders
12. September 2007

9-9-binder.jpg

I decided a bit ago to start working at a desk, and to organize my blogging self a little better. So, I got some magazine files and a cute desk clock. I cleaned up my stuff and put all my inspiration from magazines in one pile.

Then, I got a russell+hazel binder. If you’ve never heard of these binders, you’ve been missing out. I love this binder more than the Trapper Keeper I had as a kid. It’s great. I got some of the paper that they sell with it. I have the grid kind, better for sketching and randomness (they also have normal lined paper). It’s perforated on a pad, so you can doodle, tear out, put it somewhere else in your binder and keep going.

I love the binders they make for two reasons: a) the inside covers are actually white board. Perfect for to-do lists. b) the company has a green philosophy.

from their web site: “Everything we make starts as 100% post-consumer recycled content, from the spirals in our notebooks to the covers of our binders. Because every piece is biodegradable, the paper, metal, Davey board and linen breaks down safely after it’s discarded. Clean goes in. Clean comes out. It’s that simple.”

Fantastic, no?

I have no idea why you would need Swarovski crystals on your pencils, but something about it seems ridiculously glam and fabulous. I bet Oprah has these on her desk. ($20 for three)
