Indiginous Designs’ short-sleeve plaid shirt is made of organic cotton bought from coops in Portugal. The workers there are fair trade. The shirt looks like something you’d find at American Eagle, but you can feel so much better about buying it. ($58)

Get it.

Vintage western shirt

6-20-shirts.jpg

The Boy has a love for vintage and vintage-looking western shirts. He also looks super-hot in them, so I encourage the habit. Red Pony Enterprises has both mens and womens vintage stuff, and it’s all very cute. I really like this one.  ($20)

Get it.

Anti-factory shirts, get ‘em quick!
23. May 2007

5-18 shirt.jpg

It’s a good sign when you re-stock your store and a day later, everything but two shirts are sold. That says “Man, people really, really like you.”

It’s bad news for me, as I was hoping to point you toward all these goodies over at Anti-Factory, a one-woman fashion outlet. Over at Anti-Factory, nifty shirts are made completely out of recycled clothing, and they’re snazzy. So, right now, you can grab one of the few remaining items, or better yet, bookmark the site and come back time and time again.

5-18 polo.jpg

(See? Dude stuff)

When I first clicked on this polo, I said, “Eh. Just another polo.” But then I caught sight of the cool design on the bottom and realized it was made of organic cotton with a teeny bit of stretch. Score. ($46, from Sodafine)

A dress shirt, you know, just in case.

5-11 dress shirt.jpg

What? When I said yesterday that you have a dress shirt in your closet you realized you didn’t? You thought that you could wear your favorite Led Zepp shirt to the wedding? Your significant other says that’s not acceptable? Oh jeez.

Well, go to jcrew, and grab this shirt for $50. I know, It costs more than $10 and you could buy many a beer with $50, but you can wear it a lot. A lot. And blue shirts are sexy.

Naughty & Nice
27. March 2007

3-25 lochers.jpg

Denise over at Locher’s pointed me to their Web site. Locher’s is a brand that makes naughty look nice. The clothing they make is beautiful, but with a spicy twist. In every piece, you’ll find sweetly embroidered sayings like “I can only please one man a day. Today is not your day and tomorrow doesn’t look good either.”

What woman doesn’t want to say that sometimes, but look sweet doing it? The photo is of “Insatiable Little Thing,” $69

Looking back
10. February 2007

I went back through my archives today, to fix some broken pictures and some odd-looking pages, although there is one archive page that is still wonky. But I found some sites I had all but forgotten about.

2-10 necklace.jpg

It looks like Dynomighty has updated their rare earth magnet jewelry. If i was buying for myself, I’d stick to this cheap, but fun-looking chain necklace ($20)

2-10 ruffly blouse.jpg

And Vintage Amore has a fun, ruffly blouse that I see in my closet’s future. ($11)

Yellow is the color.
31. January 2007

Ah, the color of mustard. The color of the sun. Happiness. Yellow. I’m of the suspicion that yellow is the color of spring. Check these out:

My new yellow wedges from Target ($23). They smash my toes a bit, but I love them.

1-30 yellow shirt.jpg

For the boys, a yellow striped shirt from Urban Outfitters ($28).

A yellow chandelier ($36), again from Urban.

A nifty guy’s tee ($25) from Karmaloop.

A yellow non-polka dot bikini ($40) from Bluefly.
