I stopped by Kohl’s today to check out the new Vera Wang collection. What follows is a LOT of photos, just warning you.
I really wanted to like this tunic, but there were issues. First, as with almost everything in the collection, it was all polyester. Which is wonderful and not at the same time. I’m also not sure if the lining was supposed to show like it did. And the belt is just hideous.

See what I mean? It just a big loop of elastic and satin-y fabric and it looks cheap. Plus it’s not like you can take it on and off — this sucker has to be taken off headband style. I couldn’t find a clasp.

I had been really intrigued by this shirt in the ads and everything, but it didn’t look so great on. It’s a small and i’m a size 6 and it’s too big. My cleavage was everywhere and it was too baggy to be purposefully so.

When I saw the collection, I said, “If there’s one thing I get it’ll be that navy and black skirt. Sadly, it looks like a bag on. I think it’s a proportion thing, since I’m quite petite. Perhaps if I were 5′8 it would look great.

A close-up on the skirt’s hem. It seemed really unfinished, although the rest of the skirt was decently made.

I did really like this slouchy bag and the other accessories, minus the logo bags. The scarves and gloves were cute, as were the hats and This bag seemed pretty cute and roomy.
There was a lot I was disappointed by in this collection. I’m not a snooty “no-high-fashion-for-the-masses” person either. I loved the Libertine collection and I’m looking forward to some stuff from Payless, too. The fabrics were so-so. There were some really bad items, like the pants I tried on that looked like they were from the 80s, in the bad sense. There was some cute stuff. I still like the navy dress, which was on a manequinn, but no where else to be found and the coats were cute as well. It’s worth checking out, if nothing else.
